What can defile a person?

mark7Mark 7:15 There is nothing outside of a person that by going into him can defile him, but the things that come out of a person are what defile them.

Jesus is talking to his disciples about the importance of a pure heart.

This passage reminds me that I don’t need to worry about what I put INTO my mouth as much as I should be concerned about what comes OUT of it.

I need to guard my heart with the word of God, and ask God to renew and change me so that my heart doesn’t hold or release evil but righteousness as Christ did.

Have a Wonderful Day

Come with me

Mark 6:31 “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”

In this chapter we see the intensity of the work of Jesus and his disciples at this time the crowds came out to meet them, many were healed.
There were a lot of people to the point they do not have time to eat.
They returned, met with Jesus, reported the events, everything that was done and taught and together with Jesus, went to a quiet place to rest.

A good leader instructs and guides but also a good leader is present, supporting and transmitting security and confidence. Jesus was there, listen to them, to instruct them and care about them.

Reflection and solitude with our God gives us inspiration and restores our strength. The certainty that He is with us every day of our life should make all the difference. The time with God is an essential part of what is called relationship with God.
Good Morning,

Why are you so afraid?

These days reflecting on the events around me, doubts and anxieties of loved ones near and far and in my own brought me different emotions, some tears and a lot of thirst for knowledge of God’s word.

In our journey in the book of Mark we come to chapter 5, and what strikes me most attention in this chapter is the word faith (believing).

In fact in chapter 4:40, Jesus asks the disciples, Why are you so afraid? Still have no faith?

Mar 5: 34b Jesus says, your faith has healed you.

Mar 5:36 Jesus says, do not be afraid, only believe.

We insist on a small life in Christ. While he calls us to a banquet.

The immensity of His plan needs to be further studied and understood by those who call him Savior.

The divisions caused by taste and preferences has made havoc in our lives. In distracting and diverting the target which is Jesus.

How many opportunities we left behind?

I conclude leaving you with Jesus’ question:

Why are you so afraid? Still have no faith?

The Silence

Mark 3:4-5

When Jesus sees the man with the shriveled hand he asks a question and in response Jesus hear the silence.

The simark3lence that made Jesus deeply distressed.

The silence can paralyzes us. The routine, the old custom, the rules of the building; On our days the silence can be a bureaucracy, papers, orders that must be established, the criteria, quali
fications, men’s hierarchy.

The silence can paralyzes us when the path of the church (the building) doesn’t find the path of the church in our souls.

If Jesus were to act in response to what he heard, the silence; that man would have not received healing.

Two lessons for my life

  1. Do not allow the old ways paralyze me
  2. This healing happened by pure Grace. And Jesus by grace acts not as my actions.

Have a Good Day!!

the unworthy

Mark mark22: 17 “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Today we are reminded that Jesus came ministered to those that others deemed unworthy.

Jesus heals a Paralytic.                                                                                 Jesus was having dinner with the tax collector and the sinners

Is there someone in your life that seams unworthy but who needs both the gospel and your love?

The importance to listen

Mark Chapter 1

Verse 41 Jesus says he wants to heal the leper man. And so he did.
In verses 43-45 Jesus warns the healed man not say it to anyboPhoto 26-05-12 03 06 43 PMdy, go straight to the priests and follow the procedures taught by Moses, for a good witness. But the man spread throughout the city the miracle, made public the act. And because of this Jesus could no longer enter openly into any town, but stayed outside in lonely places. However, also came to him out of all parts.
A simple act of joy and exaltation made this man disobey an important command from the master. That act had consequences, Jesus stood outside the cities, and solitary places, many came to him, yes, but how many others could have had free access and not because of a single act of disobedience.
The importance of listening, we need to listen more, listen to all the words, even the most important information has already been given, we have to listen to run the correct commands.
How have you listen the Father these days?
Good Morning!

THAT IS WHAT I CAME FOR

12798131_775035579298490_519446880_nMark Chapter 1

V 35-39 Jesus goes from dawn to a solitary place to pray. And everyone was looking for him, Jesus only answers, let’s go to another place, to nearby villages, so I can preach there also. That is what I came for.
Conviction of the call, and prayerfully sought his north. In prayer he was connected with the Father and knew the purpose of his life. Focused he moved on.
How many times the distraction of day-to-day made you lose your connection with God, too tired to pray, and you have seen in other ways than the ways that God has for your life. The search for the conviction of his call has to be constant adjustment with the Father, constant harmony, constant prayer to the Father guide you to the next village.
