Full of Himself

Hi all,

God has his ways of drawing attention to him and I am very glad that I have obeyed and I am reading this book regularly during my “Chair Time”.
And we’re going to 1 Samuel 13

The verse I chose to meditate on is in 1 Samuel 13:13, “You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you.”

Saul now king, used his authority to do what it is not his work to do, but for having the power as the King, he thought it would be okay to do something that was for the prophet Samuel to do. And his disobedience brought enormous consequences to his reign.

Why did not Saul wait for Samuel to come? Saul was experiencing the power of being the King, and full of power he found himself greater than all. Saul’s heart was full of himself.

Thinking today, and in my own life, how many times have I neglected people around me, in order to resolve the situation at that moment. Without looking around and assessing whether it is my job to do this or not.

God created us with gifts and talents, He enables and guides us, when our motivation is interrelated with that of our God we will have a heart according to the heart of God. But in the times when we act in instinct because we know how to do and we do much better than the others then it is time to evaluate our heart because surely our heart is full of ourselves.

We need to desire a heart after the heart of God. It is a trusting, a surrender that He knows everything and has control of all things.

And remember, today is a good day,

Strength, Do you want some?

Hi Friends,

1Samuel 11:6,  When Saul heard their words, the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, and he burned with anger.

There we are, the first Saul’s task as a king. Saul got the strength from God and guide Israel, as God planned and the Israelite’s enemies fall.

There is only one way to have the power of the Spirit of God in us, and it is truly believing that Jesus Christ, son of God,  came to earth to be the living sacrifice to reconnect us with God.

Once we believe and accept this true in our lives, start a new beginning, a long and beautiful process of restoration and sanctification, peace and strength.  A path the brings joy and peace.

May you have this divine appointment with Jesus today,

Have a wonderful day,

Luci

Not on our ways, but Yours

1 Samuel 4:3  “When the soldiers returned to camp, the elders of Israel asked, “Why did the Lord bring defeat on us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Shiloh, so that he may go with us and save us from the hand of our enemies.”

The Israelites think they nee the ark to be with them for God to intercede. and we will see in the next chapters the consequences of this manipulation.

So many times in our life we try to manipulate God. In a way this show no faith and an attempt to control God. Neither of them we should do.
Sometimes I see myself trying to manipulate a situation because of fear and that is not what I should do.
Sometimes God says NO and we have to trust Him to know better than we do in ALL situations.

I pray today that God gives peace to accept his way and joy to celebrate that He is the Almighty God and knows what is the best for our lives.

God Bless your day!!

A rotina, o velho costume, as regras do prédio.

  1. Não deixar a religião me engessar
  2. Essa cura aconteceu por pura GRAÇA. E Jesus pela graça nao age conforme meus atos.

Bom Dia!

Bom Dia,

The importance to listen

Mark Chapter 1

Verse 41 Jesus says he wants to heal the leper man. And so he did.
In verses 43-45 Jesus warns the healed man not say it to anyboPhoto 26-05-12 03 06 43 PMdy, go straight to the priests and follow the procedures taught by Moses, for a good witness. But the man spread throughout the city the miracle, made public the act. And because of this Jesus could no longer enter openly into any town, but stayed outside in lonely places. However, also came to him out of all parts.
A simple act of joy and exaltation made this man disobey an important command from the master. That act had consequences, Jesus stood outside the cities, and solitary places, many came to him, yes, but how many others could have had free access and not because of a single act of disobedience.
The importance of listening, we need to listen more, listen to all the words, even the most important information has already been given, we have to listen to run the correct commands.
How have you listen the Father these days?
Good Morning!
