My peace I give to you

We are bombarded daily by the news that takes away the quiet. We are challenged to live a dignified life in a world of inequalities and very cruel. Not to mention that our minds fall into the blow of activism and when we realise we are stressed, tired, depressed and the symptoms lead us to worse things.

The bible mentions a peace that transcends all understanding. John 14:27 ” Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

What peace is this?
We are born at war. A nature that it is against God. Yes, I have to use the expression you don’t want to read, a sinful nature. Our heart’s desire is to be separated from Him.
But God wants us back and He has his way. He sends us the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6), Jesus goal in coming to earth was more than simply ceases the hostilities. He came to bring about a FULL and ABIDING relationship o restoration and love. The cost of this peace was his Life. (Isaiah 53:5).

Only God can lead us to want peace with Him. The Holy Spirit lead us to want Jesus and his message that it is the message of grace. Once the Spirit draw us, we believe in Jesus and the peace comes. (Rom 5:1) “Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace in God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The fruit of the Spirit includes a peace that goes beyond the salvation.

It is a sweet relationship.

He called us to His presence (Ephesians 2:11-18)
Called to be confident in that presence (Hebrews 4:16)
We are His friends. (John 15:15)
“The Steadfast of mind you will keep in perfect peace because he trusts in you.” Isaiah 26:3

Phillipians 4:4-7 – Believers are to be “anxious for nothing” for God promisses to “guard your hearts and minds”, it is a peace “wich transcends all understanding”; that is, to the wordly mind, such peace is incomprehensible.

It is the source is the Holy Spirit of God, whom the world neither sees nor knows. (John 14:17)

The Spirit-filled Christian has a peace that is abundant, available in every situation, and unlike anything that the world has to offer. (John 14:27)

I want to finish today with the word in the book of 2 Tessalonians 3:16  “Now may the Lord of peace himself gives you peace at all times in every way.”

1 Samuel 12:24 “But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.”

Samuel is giving his instructions as he is getting old and his time is finishing.

I need to hear this today, remind to keep my focus on God, his plans and his Kingdom. In a time of trouble, we need to remember all He has done for us.

Distractions came from all over, in our days you get the notifications on your mobile and in a second you are bombarding with news, a point of views, social media war, the urgency in consume what we don’t need. We need to track our mind and tougths and bring it back to God, his Almighty power, and the great things he has done for us!

Be Blessed today,

Strength, Do you want some?

Hi Friends,

1Samuel 11:6,  When Saul heard their words, the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, and he burned with anger.

There we are, the first Saul’s task as a king. Saul got the strength from God and guide Israel, as God planned and the Israelite’s enemies fall.

There is only one way to have the power of the Spirit of God in us, and it is truly believing that Jesus Christ, son of God,  came to earth to be the living sacrifice to reconnect us with God.

Once we believe and accept this true in our lives, start a new beginning, a long and beautiful process of restoration and sanctification, peace and strength.  A path the brings joy and peace.

May you have this divine appointment with Jesus today,

Have a wonderful day,

Stop hidden behind your baggage

Hi Friends,

1 Samuel 10 V.21 “… Finally Saul son of Kish was chosen. But when they looked for him, he was not to be found.”

Saul had been given so many signs from God he Still tried to hide. But God called him out and he became king.

This made me think, how often is God placing you in a position and announcing your leadership, yet you hide? Scared that you are not capable of performing the task?

V22 “And the Lord said, Yes, he has hidden himself among the baggage.”

We often hide behind baggage as an excuse to justify our fears and weaknesses. excuses as  my past, my experience, my background.

But God knows where we’re hiding.

Dear friends, don’t be scary if God chose you He will guide and inspire you, don’t be afraid, God choose and enables his people for his on purpose and plans.

Have a wonderful day,

Who is my King?

Hi Friends,

1 Samuel Chapter 8

Now Samuel grew old, it was time to appointed the Judge for Israel, but his sons did not walk in his ways, did not walk with God. The Israelites want a king, like the other nations, they rejected God as their King by forsaking God and serving others gods.

Do I choose to trust God? Do I serve Him? Is he my king? King Jesus, king culture, king self?
When we are about to make decisions, what are the criteria? Do I want to please God? Or I want what the others have?

Dear God, I pray ou will be with me and I will be with you all of the days of my life.

Have a GOD day!

Humble Yourselves

1 Samuel Chapter 9 verse 21: But I am nor a Benjamite, from the smallest tribe of Israel? and is not my clan the least of all the clans of the tribe of Benajmin? why do you say such a thing to me?

Saul knows where he comes from and has this humble attitude in say it to Samuel.

When we humble ourselves we let all the glory goes to God who decides that even not been the best one He can use us. He can use anyone He chose. It is His people, it is his story. Jeremiah 29:11 “I know the plans I have for you,”.

The recognization of my limitations will give all the credits to God, the creator who has made everything with a purpose, James 4:10 “Humble yourselves to the Lord and He will lift you up.”

Many Blessings,

Direct your Heart

1 Samuel 7:3 “ commit yourselves to the Lord and serve Him only

Hi Friends,
1Samuel 7 is the chapter where the Israelites obey what Samuel said and served the God only. Samuel interceded, Israelites fasted and confessed they have sinned against God.
Repentance and reconciliation.
Restauration and Peace.

We should trust the Lord, ask him in prayers what we want, He will not always give us what we want but sometimes he does. We should pray for him about everything and trust he has the best.

We should fast, confess and intercede.

We should do our part,
